Story
Professor Xu Hao is Vice President of Xiyuan Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and a renowned cardiovascular expert. The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of Quan Duzhong Capsules he led adopted the internationally standard 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring metrics, confirming that the drug significantly reduces office blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure variability in patients with grade 1 low-to-moderate-risk hypertension, with a favorable safety profile.
This was the first high-quality, placebo-controlled clinical trial of a single-herb Eucommia preparation published in an SCI-indexed journal, providing internationally recognized evidence-based support for Eucommia's traditional 'blood pressure-lowering' efficacy. It was selected for Xiyuan Hospital's original clinical research showcase and covered by multiple medical media outlets.
