武陵山区杜仲综合利用带头人，依托国家地方联合工程实验室推动叶用与大健康开发。
事迹
杜仲综合利用技术国家地方联合工程实验室（依托吉首大学，2015年经国家发改委批准）落在武陵山区，彭密军是这里长期深耕杜仲综合利用的骨干教授之一。他把研究扎在产区：从杜仲规范化种植、叶林矮化基地，到杜仲叶与活性成分的高值化利用。
他主持承担国家科技部“杜仲规范化种植基地及其综合开发利用研究”、湖南省“张家界杜仲叶林矮化基地建设及杜仲叶综合利用示范”、“杜仲抗羟基应激活性成分筛选及作用机理”等课题，并支撑研发杜仲豆腐、“湘仲”食用菌等接地气的杜仲食品与大健康产品，让武陵山区的杜仲“从一株树变成一条链”。

Leader of comprehensive Eucommia utilization in the Wuling mountains, via the national-local joint engineering lab.
Story
The National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Comprehensive Eucommia Utilization (hosted by Jishou University, approved by the NDRC in 2015) sits in the Wuling mountains, where Peng Mijun is among the core professors devoted to Eucommia utilization. He roots his research in the producing region — from standardized planting and dwarfed leaf-forest bases to high-value use of leaves and actives.
He has led projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology and Hunan Province on standardized planting, comprehensive utilization and Zhangjiajie leaf-forest bases, plus studies on anti-oxidative-stress actives, and supported down-to-earth Eucommia foods and health products — turning the mountains’ Eucommia ‘from a single tree into a full chain’.
